Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2018: Tell Us Why YOU Take Action
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Since 1987, when the first Domestic Violence Awarness Month was observed, we have accomplished so much by raising awareness by getting people to understand and acknowledge that domestic violence is a serious problem for our communities. In 2018, it is time to evolve our approach.
It is time to move past awareness and take action together to end abuse. This year, MCEDV and our partners in the Take Action Maine Campaign are asking Mainers why they take action, from small ones to large, to end domestic violence. Participating is easy.
Just take these four easy steps
- Print our PDF sign and write your reason for acting to end domestic abuse and violence.
- Snap a photo and post it on Facebook or Instagram. We are @MCEDV on Facebook and @mcedv1977 on Instagram.
- Tag MCEDV in your post, and use the hashtags #TakeActionMaine, #DVAMinME18, and #EndDV.
- Ask your friends to do the same!
