On February 9, 2011, Governor Paul LePage signed a Proclamation recognizing February as “Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month”. Advocates from around Maine joined Governor LePage for the signing in the Cabinet Room.
February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. If you or someone you know is in an abusive teen relationship, please contact your local domestic violence program (“services” page) or the state domestic violence helpline (top of home page).
If you, or someone you know, are being stalked, call the state wide hotline (listed at the top of this website) or your local domestic violence program (check the “services” section)for help. Call 911 if you are in immediate danger.
